I feel that Haas has the problem figured out. The real cure is to to replace the ring gear on the flywheel and the starter drive. These new parts will solve the problem for a long time. Remove the starter and examine all the teeth on the flywheel. Probably a couple of them have a shallow "pocket" in the edge of the tooth. If the starter drive hits the pocket, it locks up. Temporary help is to file the edge of the flywheel teeth through the starter opening. To free the lockup, loosen the starter bolts (carry a wrench with you at all times) and wiggle the starter. Or put the tractor in 4th gear and roll the tractor BACKWARD.
