On my 41 "M" the holes are 3&3/4 inch apart center to center, and appear to be 3/4" holes. From the center of the holes back towards the tractor there is 1" clearance and there is just over 1" from the top of this plate to the heavy cast piece the radiator sets on. There is a plate bolted to mine from the bottom due to no room on top. Don't know if all M's are the same, this all looks original on mine.
