Farmall H steering loose - will it matter with wide front?

I have my 1942 H all ready to be put back together (as soon as my replacement block gets here) and have noticed while moving it around with the narrow front that the bolster has some play on the top and bottom. The steering didn't seem too loose before I started taking everything apart, but I think it would wobble in road gear with the narrow front. Would any of this even cause a problem with a wide front? I realize the steering may be a little loose, but I don't think it would be as bad with a wide front. Any opinions welcome and appreciated, and thanks in advance! Steven
