Steven - A WF is a lot easier on the pivot shaft bushings than is a NF, so that other bolster may be in better shape. However having run with the gearbox cover off may have caused a lot of wear to the worm and sector gear. Best thing to do is check your other bolster - if it has less wear than the one now on the tractor, go ahead and swap 'em out. I agree - a digital camera is a great tool! Mine is always with me when I'm messing with mechanical stuff - photos taken while tearing stuff apart has saved me a lot of frustration later on. ...Bob M
