1066 steering problems

Been having some intermittent problems with our 1066 steering. Sometimes it just quits working. Gets a little exciting at road speeds. It generally will start to work again, but what would cause it to fail? We replaced the steering motor under the steering wheel once already. Could this one be bad or shoul I look somewhere else? It's not real safe to run like this and we've got a lot of work ahead of it. Thanks for the help in advance.
