Larry, sorry it took me awhile to get here, hope I can help a little. On top of your TA housing should be a rather elongated directional valve. This will have two lines running from it to the steering. they make a couple of bends and duck down behind the frame rail, disappear and surface again near radiator and have banjo fittings, that are attatched to the front bolster. They control the steering cylinder enclosed within the bolster which does the steering. If that valve is not functioning properly, as to say that it is binding, or some other loss of direction were to occurr, this would be my direction of attention. Loosen one line going to front of tractor at a time, turn, or have some one turn wheel right, and see if their is oil shooting out to indicate aid in that direction, and vice versa, closing that line and reversing opening other. The other two lines come from the steering hand pump, and you can check those with or without tractor running. They are the actuators. This may or may not require a few attempts to determine the proper assist. If this is working properly, you may have an internal problem in the front bolster, let's hope not. If this doesn't help, or you get a little confused, post again.
