966 popping out of gear when you coast

We have a 966 that you put in gear F or R H or L and most of the time if you gas it and coast it feels like it drops out of gear but if you drop the gas and let it Idle for 15 sec you can feel it "POP" in and it pulls again. Alot of times it feels like it just doesnt go in gear. I have replace the linkage topped fluids and nothing works. I had 2 mech look at it and they can't figuire it out. I feel like they didnt know what they were doing. What should I be looking at. When it is in gear and UNDER power it pulls just fine. It even pulls great UNDER power up hill until you coast then it pops.
