Daniel, be very careful when tightening that belt. what works the best is to take a wrench that will fit on the shaft next to the adjustment slot and pry or hold that shaft up, if you have the proper belt it shouldn't take more than you can push up on to snug it up. now turn that fan hub toward you and you will see a screw in the fan hub. make sure it is turned toward you and take it out and with a oil can fill it to shaft level with 20-30 wt. motor oil and replace screw. If you have to replace that shaft it'll cost you.
