Red Dave: Thanks. I guess I must have other problems with the ignition system or ?. Does this make sense? Before I put the jumper in place between the Run position of the switch and the plus side of battery I took some voltage reads. With switch off:
+ of battery to + of coil = 12.71 volts
+ of battery to + of coil w/jumper = 12.71 volts With switch on:
+ of battery to + of coil = 4.88 volts
+ of battery to + of coil w/jumper + .75 volts
I checked the reads twice. Not sure what this is telling me. Will try starting and running it. Thanks again for your help.
