Haas, Looking at the cross section view in the I&T Service Manual, it appears to be another shaft with a bunch of gears hanging on it. It's lower than the other. It appears to have a bearing plate, and seal too. I'm thinking that this one is below oil level and would leak all the time, and the clutch shaft seal would stop leaking after it sat awhile, because it's above the oil level unless their is no seal there, just a gasket......Dave T
