Rod Knocking in my M

I put new manifold gaskets on my M this weekend and the good thing it sure runs smoother and quieter but it brought another noise to my attention. It could be a rod knocking, what should I do. I thought about draining the oil and replacing it with a heavier oil and some type of engine treatment, before tearing into it. Any suggestions. thanks, jiM
