Many years ago, a friend of mine was working on the fuel tank of a genuine Mitsubishi A6M, also known as the Japanese Zero of WWII fame. There are only 4 or 5 in the world and only a couple left flying. You guessed it, the fuel tank ignited. Only quick thinking saved the airplane. They had the fire out in a matter of seconds. Still, my friend had burns all over his hands. He is a surgeon, so.... He recovered OK. I've got a big 10# ABC fire extinguisher in my shop. I designed my shop so that there are exists close by wherever you are.
