My wife ran over a skunk and thinks she needs a new car. She really has a sensitive nose. I think it will go away. Do you have any ideas or help? Thanks. p.s I have 2 boxes of mothballs inside it right now.

Last fall I managed to hit 2 dead skunks in the road. It will take months for the smell to go away. Washing doesn't seem to help. You need to wait for the oils to evaporate. You will also smell it on the car every time it rains for about 6 months. Good luck.

Thanks Don L and Ray P. We are in Mich 20 miles north of Toledo. Back to skunk please, I assumed you meant coffee grounds from brewed coffee. My wife says you mean fresh, out of the can coffee. Please help. I can't win but I love her 2 much.

Odor is probably under car, around wheel wells. Get a power washer, and wash it down as best you can all under. Other option is to use a carwash that does a decent underbody wash. It will disipate with time.
