See what happens when you leave a zero out or a decimal is off ! Many times a contractor will have to retract a bid or if you are #2 low bid and you find an error like this, you can legally become low bidder, in the public sector that is.

CORRECTION: should be 0.0328 or .032 of a cubic yard per foot, for the footing x $90.00 per yard = $2.88 per foot for raw material.( NOT .328 of a cubic yard per 1 foot of footing )

Wall calculation checks out ( I think, but I think I'm also diggin a hole here LOL smoke pouring out now, hate when I make an error LOL ! hard to find it sometimes )

Sample foundation 60'-0" x 60'-0" walls are correct at $17.73 per foot + $2.88 per foot on the footing = footing and wall per foot cost of $20.64 per foot, raw material cost, so 240 feet x $20.64 = $4953.60 total cost ! Hmmm $11,340.00 - $4953.60 = a $6386.40 difference...oops

Yes folks, that is a substantial savings passed on to you from the idiot ( me ) who erroneously used the wrong figure to do the math LOL. I knew something was up when I came up with 126 cubic yards for a 60'-0" x 60'-0" foundation, that is 11 trucks, does not take 11 trucks or that many yards to do that size foundation, hmmm better check the math, hopefully this gets posted before someone else sees the gross mathematical error !!!!

Cubic yards for footing: .032 cu. yd. per foot x 240 = 7.68 cu. yds

Cubic yards for the wall .197 cu. yd. per foot x 240 = 47. 28

Total 47.28 + 7.68 = 54.96 or 55.00 cubic yards, order 56.00 cubic yards, about 5 full truck loads makes more sense than the 126 yards I came up with for this sample.
