are the home depot tractors hydrostaid? I dont see nothing being metioned of that what so ever....even on the deere site. they just say "automatic"

they are hydro,automatic is what they call them. you set the engine speed at full and control it with the foot control.the more you push ,the faster the tractor speed.the engine and mower speed stay the same.they will barely move to 5mph.cub cadet is not as good as they used to be.there foot control isn't as easy to use.if you can afford it,LT is a much better mower and cheaper in long run.the lift& height is so much better&easier to use.

I wouldnt buy any lawn mower from anyone but a dealer -- NO CHAIN STORES

if your just mowing get one of the zero turns.. you will be happy I am told by all the relatives that have ever got one.

and JD makes some really good stuff.. but sometimes it does go bad...

I had driven nothing but deere up till last summer... we had a Sears (MTD)gt5000 thrust apon us...

I LOVE MY DEERE BETTER THAN EVER! its a 1982 400
