I had bees in the cracked foundation wall, waited til after dark and "foamed the crack shut" only to have them bore their way out. Iowa State University folks said to spread Sevin dust (I think it is the same as Don LC used in his earlier post) around the entrance to let them track it into the nest. Result no bees! And a good feeling that I wasn't polluting the ground water. It claims to be a "natural" product. Getting stung isn't a losing game of action or wits if you are allergic....the buggers seem to go out their way towards my wife even if I disturbed them. She goes into a shock and can't breathe, so we keep an E-pen handy always FWIW.
