First off, the 15-40 is the WRONG oil for this tranny, and it will soon do even more damage!!! You NEED to put 5-30 "Synthetic" in it!!!! It's more than just the weight that's a problem, it also the aditives in the oil!!!

Secondly, your Getrag is on it's way out, plan on replaceing it!!! Yes, it can be fixed, but odds are you will be "fixing" it again and again!!! I'm sorry to say, these trannys just aren't up to the task, and are "known" to be a weak poor design!!!

I got fed up with mine, and replaced it myself with a NV4500 that's MUCH stronger, and this one will last behind the Cummins!!! There's kits you can buy so it's a bolt in job.... The NV4500 is what Dodge went to after the Getrag.

And, it's NOT the 5th gear nut someone posted here that's the problem!!!!
