Finally get slave cylinder. Not the problem. The ring around the original clutch failed, sending spring into pressure plate.ford puke says Sorry, 3 yr 100K on motor done 62K on truck. $1200 to fix. Purchased luk clutch, $524. 6 smaller springs instead of 3 big ones on fomoco original. $378 labor + new pilot bearing.

Original clutch still has 90% of disc.

Show original to fomoco ask WTF, over. Says call customer service. Good I cannot reach thru phone to rip throat out of "customer service rep".

How we know it is clutch? I say have pics want em? NO!
I could go on, about ready to shoot computer but is just the messenger.

You also had the option not to read my comments, or at least to not respond to them. Funny how everybody else is a puke. Don"t rant about something that you are absolutely wrong about. A clutch is next to impossible to have replaced under warranty. Even if the truck was only 2 months old, the clutch is a wear part and is almost never covered. Read the fine print, vehicle warranties generally do not cover wear parts such as clutch or brakes.

Once again I will state the facts for you. September 1998 to even January 2004 (you said about a year ago) would be over 5 years. You stated yourself that the warranty was 3 years OR 100k miles. You then proceeded to act indignant about the fact that the truck only had 62k miles and was out of warranty after 5 years. You don"t get both. It"s one or the other.
