Dell, Thanks, but I'm still confused. Here's a view from a different angle (looking from what would be the front/bottom of the rod when installed), along with a view of the right-side adjustable one still on the tractor (which may or may not be its true counterpart):
I suppose the left one could have originally been an adjustable one, but does that mean the crank would have been at the bottom? The fork is just wide enough to attach to the lift arm, so I don't think it was made to go the other way. And the length, if I were to screw it in to the ringmark, would still be about 2 1/2" too long; similarly the right one, when cranked to its shortest position, is still just a little over 20 1/4" long hole to hole. The other reason I think they're too long is my lift arms practically drag on the ground (1/4" clearance from a flat floor) when lowered all the way, but I guess something else could be adjusted wrong. So, is the 20 1/4" hole-to-hole length previously measured by a couple of people correct? And, if so, what were these longer ones (or just the right one, if the left one was a hodge-podge of leftover parts) made for? (And does anybody want them???) Thanks again!
