I need to know the length of the left hand lift rod.
My Jubilee was restored by someone else and I think the lift rod is about 3/4" short.
I would like to know the distance from the centerline of the lower hole to the centerline of the upper pin \(upper hole). On my 8N it is 20".
On my Jubilee it is about 19-1/4".
My carryall does not sit all the way down on the ground when mounted on my Jubilee.
This 3/4" discrepency in the lift rod length equates to 3" in height at the drawbar.
TIA
Jim

Jim,
Master parts book shows left hand rod is same for 39 to 53; 9N,2N,8N,NAA,NAB. So your rod length should match jerry.in.ga.
My '48 is outside under tarp, in a rainstorm right now, or I would go measure it .
HTH,

I have a '50 8N and a '52 8N. Each left lift arm measures 20 1/4", center hole to center hole.

Thanks Jerry.
Sounds about right.

I just measured mine and it's 23" from hole/pin to hole/pin (a Jubilee, but not with original parts) -- which explains why my lift can almost drag on the ground when lowered all the way. So I, too, wonder how long it's supposed to be.

One of the tractor parts sites (samstractors) lists the length of the 9N,2N,8N,NAA left vertical link as 20 3/4". Doesn't say exactly where that's measured.

Further evidence that Jim's may be too short, and mine's definitely too long ;)

Jim..... ....If I understand your description, thats why the r/h lift arm has a adjustable gearbox to level out side-to-side. And thats why the 3-point top link is adjustable, to level fore/aft..... ...Dell

Dell,
I understand I can level it out but the length makes quite a difference when using a scoop on the back.
Also when I use my carryall with my 9N I can set it all the way onto the ground. By using the leveling link on my Jubilee I could probably set the right rear corner on the ground but it would be tilted.
With my Jubilee it will not go down to the ground. It is about 2" off the ground.
I would like to know the proper dimensions between centerline of the pin holes. The overall length will not be as accurate as the distance between the centerline of the pin holes. If I cannot find out what the specified length is I will just assume it is 20" and add 3/4" to my Jubilee lift rod.
