Only one tractor better than a 135 IMHO! The MF150! Here's mine. In 2 months, this one will have been with me for 37 years. I wouldn't trade it for a half dozen new ones.

It's essentially a 135 with the front axle, steering, and sheet metal of a 165. Same powertrain, same hydraulics, just a little better balanced.

The basic design of the 35/135 is one of the best, if not THE best tractor of it's size ever built. I prefer the diesel, but even the gasser is a tough act to beat. Some 135's were built as stripped down versions without live power. Look for the 2-stage clutch version.

We covered this topic thoroughly last week on Tuesday and later.

Concensus, unless its worn out completely or been in a recent fire, its a fine machine. Mine is NOT for sale.

Hi Dennis...

Hows this for a strange response. I just five minutes ago bought a MF 135 w/ Perkins diesel. I'd been looking at tractors in this range quite intently for the past three months. I saw this MF 135 and was pretty impressed. It just seemed like a good tractor all around.

Never-the-less I queried the board for thoughts on the MF 135 and folks responses were so overwhelmingly and resoundingly positive that I decided after many hours of searching and many many miles of driving that the MF 135 was going to be it! I'm looking forward to delivery! I'm feeling like a kid on Christmas Eve.
