Posted this before and no one disagreed with me yet but sure can if they want to come up with some proof to show me otherwise. Just what we found in manuals and on other Ds before restoring them. Not all the decals in styled D decal set may be needed or used on your 40 D. The circle D decals won't be used on it and weren't put on sides until 1947 models. Your 40 would have had "Model D" in yellow stenciled or rear of transmission cover and you can use a decal like that also there instead. The safety decal wasn't used until 1947 either. Small tank gas cap red and large fuel tank cap green. Radiator cap green. If you can't find a set with all the correct ones in it check with Travis Jorde. Some of the generic sets aren't going to be correct.
