JD D Decals

Air cleaner canister decal had came back off of this one so not a good pic of all locations. Dir. 124 canister decal went above clean out plug. Center the JD115 hood decals and JD110 radiator front one. Circle "D" D3309R bottom edge aligns with bottom line of hood and centered. Some say those before 47 didn't use the circle D on radiator sides and had yellow D stenciled on back of trans case. Never see it in decal sets or mentioned but I've seen a yellow on some 47 & 48s?? Seen some 46 and later Ds with original decals on back side of trans indicating 35 tooth axle trans gears and the need for more oil in trans at 8 gallons or 7 inches instead of the 7 gallons or 6 1/2" for 41 tooth gears. Scrapped several 47 - 48 Ds that had 35 tooth gears. Donaldson decal B1568R goes on lower edge of air cleaner. Oil level decal B1567R goes at line indention on oil cup. Dir.118 on side of crankcase ventilator body (oil fill on reduction gear cover). Some later ones had a safety decal on back of seat. Some put the be careful decal A2568R on the trans back, seat back, PTO cover or dash panel but not sure any of those are correct? Also seen a leaping deer JD decal on lower dash panel of some but again not sure if that was correct or something added during a repaint later? Clutch decal? Find a pic of a old one that had it if you can? I never put those on but they will come in the generic decal sets and ok for early Ds but don't belong on a styled D. Old B&W pics in operators manual and other original B&W pics will give you some idea of where they go also. You'll see a lot of color pics with decals in wrong places.
