Add another zero and you"ll get the auction price here. $500 for a beat-on used one makes me want to go buy a new one for $675.

In Colorado it is just the opposite. I bought a 30 foot John Deere on wheels for $10 with out a motor. The 16 foot bale conveyers go for $250 with out a motor.

$3.50 for a 50# bale of timothy out of my barn, delivery extra. The reason those things go so high, is that everybody who has animals around here, even just a couple, has a hay mow in the barn, big or little. No one wants to throw bales up there, so they all go after those short bale conveyors when they show up on auction, thinking they"re going to go cheap. Well, you know what happens when 4 or 5 people really want something at an auction.
