I wash the baler off REALLY GOOD first. The knotters get cleaned really good and painted as well. I Remove the fly wheel and drive line which is taken apart also. I paint these items by hanging them in the shop from the ceiling. The rims are removed and baler set on blocks. Make sure there is no grease on the metal anywhere!! I remove all the old decals with a heat gun and a sharp scraper carefully. Then sand the rusty spots clean and the rest where needed. I prime some places where there is bare metal. For paint I use the stuff from the dealer and use a spray gun. Decals I get from the dealer if possible or take pictures of the old ones before I destroy them. Then I get a sign/decal store to make decals from the pictures. I couldn't get decals for my NH278 anymore last time I tried. But I could get them for the 320 model. So I just got the 320 decals and made up the "278" decals I needed. When its done right the baler looks "new". I've seen paint jobs on stuff and when you just paint over the decals and get over spray on the yellow parts and don't paint everything it doesn't look that great. Most important thing is prep time before you go to painting.
