you need those wedges up front

You need the 4 wedges up front right behind the plunger 2 on each side. They are used to help hold the hay charge in place. Just like what JD&hesston does with them cheese grater gizmos they bolt right behind the plunger.

Then if bale density is an issue you can add them to the chamber farther back etc. to make a firmer bale in dry hay etc.


What seems to be the problem with the bales? Made lots and lots of square bales and never needed bale case extensions. I know guys use them for timothy in order to get really heavy dense bales for export hay etc.

How heavy of bale are you aiming for and what type of crop are you baling.
