You say to replace them with haybine guards,what is the part number of those guards and why are they better? Will they cut grass hay better and or they more expensive? OOps I meant only one question. Thanks

Ok, good questions. The current part number is: 86615982. The old number was 219191. When I said better, it was only because of the idea of getting rid of the wear plates under the hold down clips. As far as double pointed guards, mower guards (part number 219190) are as good as haybine gaurds. BUT, if you use 219190 mower guarsd, you MUST use the 26616 wear plates under the hold down clips. That is what I am trying to encourage you to eliminate. Steve
