I worked at a dialup internet company for 7 years until a few weeks ago when they moved the call center from MI to NY. ANYONE HAVE A JOB FOR ME??

I have used most Windows since win3.1,

95 was ok but quite unstable for me needed constant restarts, 98 and 98se was much more stable but needed a restart at least once a day,

ME most unstable of them all. Always messing up. Went back to 98

XP love it!! Very stable for me. Restart maybe once a week.

Used 98 and 2000 at work. 98 needed a restart at lunch and again at end of day. 2000 very stable maybe better than my XP I use at home.

Got Vista just so I could learn it. I find it to be a big bloated thing that takes to much computer to run it. Seems stable enough though. Just so big the computer runs slower than it should.

I currently have a Dell Laptop with XP and a bought used desktop I installed Vista on.

I find XP to be quite stable, but slower than I think it should be. I'm 70 and have no plans to ever go further than XP with O/S. Somehow, I can't see that new soft ware every few years is an answer to the world's problems as apparently Microsoft thinks.

Yea the only reason I have used them all is so I could learn them and support them at my former job. XP likes memory I have 512M in my laptop. In my desktop I am running Vista and it has 2Gig, came with it or I might have stopped at 1G
