Need owner's manual for particular model

In the owner's manual (if you can find one for it) there should be charts to give you a rough estimate of rates being applied per setting. It should look like the charts at the end of link below.

In the past I have set about a half rate and then made sure to overtravel the area twice at differing angles, but that may not work for your situation. There is really no precision to a slinger like there is a drop spreader but then most fertilizer/lime applications will be close enough for guvment work. Dry herbicides may not be the best thing to use a slinger on due to lack of precision.

Best guess on settings and try to drive the same speed is best you can do. Alot of it also depends on the granularity (or lack of) of the material being spread. Good luck and enjoy.
