Kirk, interesting you should mention Alton. I remember seeing somethin rather unusual over there, about 20-23 years ago. It was a masey-Harris combine inside a building. Not a barn or shed, but inside a old store-front-type building. It was way too dark to get any details as to any name or address on the building. I DO remember clearly, the town was alton and I was on my way to yet another location via Greyhound when I passed through.

I figured maybe you would either remember that combine or even know something about it. I found it odd that such an oldie just sat there, inside, as if a car on a showroom floor.

Hi Nut,s
I was thinking about what you were saying about that old massey in a store front,
It must have been awhile ago cause there isnt anything like that now , or hasnt been for at least 4,or 5 yrs here in town,
I dont know who owned it, but that would be cool to see if you could find another one like that in an old store or something like that,
K,C,

Well, Kirk, that"s too bad. I can't even begin to remember which end of town it was on, but I figured you would either know something about that, or be able to at least ask around. I'm sure some of the old timers will remember that combine, too.

By the way, is Kelly Harlan's store still there, in Alton?
