What kind of trouble is your Select-O-Speed giving? Perhaps we could help if we knew its symptoms. Sounds like your PTO cable just needs a proper adjustment.

well i was brush hogging the other day, i put it in 5th gear and it acted like it slipped. so i jiggled the shifter and it went in. i drove it on up the hill to my dads and stopped and talked to him a few minutes and when i got on it it wouldn't go frontward or backward. so i left it there a few days and went back down and tried it again if i reved the rpms up real high it would go in gear it worked good in both reverses and 1-4 but starting with 5th it might go in but if it did it would take off then stop then take off again. i went ahead and finished mowing the holler in 4th and it quit again so i had my brother come and see if he could pull it home for me. i couldn't get the lever to move to free the rearend when he tried to pull it. then he pulled it back just a little bit and it kicked in so i stopped him and drove it on home in 4th gear thats where i'm at now.
