TO 20 vs TE 20

Can anyone refer me to a site or an archived post on this forum that outlines the basic differences in these two models (other than where they were made)? Is it harder to find parts for a TE 20 than a TO 20? Are there any advantages of one over the other?

The TE transmission is made of "electron" an aluminum like material, and the TO 20 transmission is made of cast iron. From what I know there is no identical parts in those transmissions, but you can swap the entire transmissions.
Also, a TE 20 did not have running boards, the TO 20 had it as standard.
And there are other small differencies too.

IJ... Many people can probably provide the info you need, but one of the nicest discussions of the differences, in my opinion, were some posts that Jeff-OH did... Indiana,

I have a TEA20 there are quite a few differences between the to's and the te's engines, transmission and sheet metal. You can search to vs te at the top of this forum, also on the Ferguson Enthusiast site there is a list of production date and engines that corrospond to serial numbers.

The TE20 and the TO20 both had Continental engines, unlike the TEA which had Standard motor Company engines.
The TE had a British electrical system (Lucas) so the starter, generator, distributor, and voltage regulator would be different.
That's as much as I know since I have TEAs.
