John,
As I recall that pilot bearing is the same one as used in the water pump, which is to say, NLA.
What do people do, use a bushing instead?
I just happened to have a NOS one by a stroke of luck so was able to replace it while my own TEA was split but have been wondering what to do if I ever need to do it again - and would like to be able to fix water pumps too.
Jim

Don"t think it is the same bearing Jim but you could be right, there is nothing ringing any bells with me(yet). The Pilot bearing is still available though, it was MF part number 828123M1 and the Sparex part number is S40734, this same bearing fits the TO tractors too. It could be still available as an MF part but Sparex do have it. Let me know about that water pump bearing if you do find out please.

Hi John,
Someone in the Triumph community has informed me that the water pump bearings (used in both the TR2-4 and TEA) are MF p/n 825-375 M1, which at least is a different MF #.
Yet I feel quite sure I put a w/p bearing in that pilot bearing spot. Maybe it's just a different width. If you can find the water pump bearings from any source, I'll take a dozen.
Thanks,
Jim

I am making enquiries right now about those bearings as they should be available to you. Will send the info as soon as I get word back, maybe Tuesday.
