Maybe the confusion is about what we're calling hydraulics. The most basic setup was just the TouchControl, which was just the rockshafts under the tank and were operated with the two levers mounted at the very top of the pedestal, in front fo the wheel. These could be used to operate all kinds of things including the fast hitch, but the only hydraulic cylinders involved were the two that were built right into the TC block (short stroke and the pistons hidden inside two leather sleeves). THEN, there was the "remote control" hydraulic option, which required a modified manifold where it bolts onto the TC block. The modification let you run hoses to a control valve mounted on the light bar, that could then be run back to a more conventional (at least from today's perspective) hydraulic cylinder that could be attached to about anything it would fit, to raise and lower implements. Touch Control was hydraulic (only because it wasn't pneumatic) so the term is technically correct, but it is just primitive enough that some folks might not recognize it as such. Hope I haven't confused the question even more! Scotty
