I thought that the final weight was a lot less than 3250. Did you mean 2350? I can pull my stock one in the 2500lb class even with my 170# on it. BTW, I still think that tractor is awsome! I look forward to the new issue of OPP.

I'm sorry, It was 2350# with me on it. I pulled it in 3700# in second one time. I was a little light, but had all the weights I owned and could barrow piled on. It still spun out in second with no problem. I should have pulled 3rd because there was a 12mph speed limit.

Your stock what??....There's no VA series tractor I know of that will go under 2750, let alone 2500. How stock is it?....all aluminum but looks stock or what?

My VAC came from the factory without a PTO. Then, I bought a bunch of parts from an old dealership years after they closed and got the factory cover that goes on the torque tube after removing the belt pulley and hydraulic pump (It's got the Eagle on it and everything). I am also running it without an alternator. Then I got a set of 9bolt hubs off of a Massey Harris, machined the keyway to the right size, and got a set of 9 bolt hole JD pressed steel 10"x28" rims. That's about it. The earlier VAC's without the eagle hitches were much lighter than the later ones.

Unless the state-certified scale down at the truckstop is off I'll have to differ with you on the 'earlier models are much lighter than Eagle Hitch tractors' statement particulary if the early one was equipped with the 'Master Hitch'. My '48 VAC weighed (with 'homebrewed' 3-point) 20 pounds heavier than my Eagle Hitch '51. Both have adjustable wide-front, wheel weights, 11.2 rears, no fluid, PTO, etc. The '48 scaled 3260 and the '51 weighed 3240 with nobody aboard. I was pretty amazed.....I haven't weighed my '48 VAC single-front yet as I am still taking off pieces. I suspect that the hubs such as yours make a big difference.
