Tom,Since you have the build cards for the DC and SC tractors what year was the first eagle hitch installed on the SCs and DCs.I have seen two DCs with eagle hitch but not live hydraulics and one 1951 DC with the hole in the casting for eagle hitch and no live hydraulics. In full steam ahead it says the first year for eagle hitch on these tractors was 1952,I would like to know if any of the 1951s were equiped from the factory or they were all .field retrofitted

MARTIN; IT WOULD TAKE A LOT OF DIGGING TO FIND THE FIRST ONE BUT I AM SURE THERE WERE SOME DC AND SC EQUIPED WITH EAGLE HITCH IN LATE 51 AS I HAVE SEEN THEM AND YES THEY WERE NOT LIVE HYDRALIC, IF YOU HAPPENT TO HAVE THE SERIAL NUMBER OF ONE THAT WAY SEND IT TO ME AND THAT WILL GIVE ME A PLACE TO START LOOKING. BUT THE EAGLE HITCH WAS INTRODUCED ON THE 52 MODLE TOM

Hey Tom,

It might take a lot of digging to find out where it started and stopped in the production run of tractors... but it's probably worth the trouble since you can win a 500 acre farm from ol' John Saeli. (grin)

Tom; I have a DC SN 5503728 that has the live PTO and Eagle Hitch. Check it out and see what the card shows.

DCASE, 5503728 DC-3 WAS BUILT NOV. 21 1950 AND SHIPPED TO BOB SLOANE INPLEMENT CO, PONTAHS NEW MEXICO FEB 11 1951, IT HAD ADJUATABLE FRONT AXLE. CARD SAYS NOTHING ABOUT EAGLE HITCH

ARE YOU SURE THIS HAS EAGLE HITCH AND LIVE POWER? IT IS A REAL EARLY 1951, IF IT HAS IT HAD TO BE CHANGED OVER AT THE DEALER OR ELSE THE TAG IS WRONG TOM

Hi Tom; The tractor is now in SD. If someone changed the rear end they went to a lot of trouble. The paint all matches perfectly and does not look like it has been repainted. The serial # and the block # match. Go figure!
