I know where there is a SC sitting in a field. The motor is free, been there for 6 months. Has the eagle hitch on it. Hasn't run in 2 years. The owner forgot that it was out there. Wants $750 for it. I offered $500. I'm not a Case guy but it looks like a neat old tractor. Is it worth that? Anything to look for? The wasn't cracked last time I saw it. Thanks for any advice!!!!!

Hey BigR: The Eagle Hitch means it's a late model with Live PTO & Hyd. A wide front end would make it worth a little more. Fenders & lights? CASE Magneto on it? Can't go wrong @ $500. but those other things would help make it worth the $750. Hope this helps.

Eagle hitch doesn't mean live pto, ours has the eagle hitch and transmission driven pto

I'll bet they didn't come from the factory like that. And I'll bet the farm that the SC in the field has Live PTO. Any takers?????

John,I have seen two of the DCs with the eagle hitch and non live PTO/hydraulics.one is owned by Bill Davis in Millsboro DE.the other was at Tull Bros.a IH dealer in Seaford DE.many years ago.there was a 1951 DC sold two years ago North of Milford DE.that had the hole through the housing for the eagle hitch but no live hydraulics or PTO.I wish I hade kept the serial no.for that tractor,we could of ask DCtom to check the build card for it. Regards martin
