Offset tool for head bolts.

Certain head bolts cannot be torqued properly without a special offset tool. A Snap-On or MAC tool dealer will have one.

I recenty tried to but a Snap-On wrench like the one in the first picture and was informed it's no longer available.

I think the original Case p/n CAS1257 ext was made by OTC. I bought the Snap-on in the photo about 1999 or 2000?

The ext used to be common back when cyl heads required retorque after so many running hours and one did not want to pull the rocker arms. They were generally called "under rocker arm ext" in the marine industry.

Another option is to buy a box end ext similiar to a crowsfoot. I think most tool suppliers can give you the offset calculation or do a search, it will be avail on the net.
