You could order a tractor on steel during WW II, and maybe have a better chance of getting one that way. Rubber was scarce. The replacement wheels might have been the cheapest/easiest way to put rubber tires on the tractor.

I should clarify they are spoked wheels with pnuematic tires on them. Everything about the sizez are the same as they would be but instead of disc wheels they are spoked.

I have a set of F&H flat spoke "cut-off" rims....they have the same hub and spoke type as the set of rear steel I have for my WC.
