i'm not familar with the B but this will work on ALL gas engines with a distributor.
pull #1 spark plug...stick your finger loosely in plug hole...bump motor over till compression blows your finger out...then put something in spark plug hole that touches piston [stick, screw driver,etc]...using fan blade as a handle...slowly turn engine over till stick stops moving up or down...thats TDC or top dead center...pull distributor cap and take note of where outer tip of rotor is...align with pole on distributor cap and thats #1...remove stick or screw driver from plug hole and spin engine over with starter and see which way distributor spins...starting with #1 plug wire which should already be located in cap install rest of the wires in same direction as distr turned in the correct firing order...it should be close enuff to start now...you may have to turn distr a little to get it to start...thats all there is to it...adjust timing to specs and your done.
