: I have a '48 WD with a drawbar that is hard bolted where the snap coupler is usually mounted. Is this a "farm alteration" or were some WD's produced without the snap coupler assemblies. My tractor is straight "pull type and could not take any Mounted implements. This kind of makes the hydraulic arms useless! Figure AC180 on page 95 of the I&T Shop Manual shows a drawbar rigged like mine. What gives?

we had a 1952 wd and converted it about 1954-
to me this is the best hitching system ever
i can not understand why it didn't win out
