Dave,
Usually visable white smoke in a gas engine is a sign of head gasket failure or the gasket starting to fail. I've also seen that same senerio with a cracked cylinder head(s). Blue smoke usually means poor oil control in the engine. (ie-rings,valve guides, etc) Kinda wierd though, that it shows only going up hill! The only thing you can do is watch the crankcase oil to see if it starts to change & the coolant if it starts to go down in the radiator. I wouldn't run it to long like that though, you could do some engine damage.... Steve B.
