As far as I'm concerned, Sentimental value is worth more than dollar value.. I am still looking for an old Allis my Dad sold. Still, the $1k does not seem too bad. One can spend a fortune to get it back to perfection if thats what you want. Or you can spend just enough to get it running and in good shape. Even it you Nickel & dime it ever other week. If it was ME, (and I can only speak for myself), I would get it, once it's gone you may regret it.

I am spending more than a WD is worth to get one back in shape. Used to run a 45 when I was a kid and it is so much fun to be working on that tractor again.
