THE TIP IS SQUARED OFF ON SIDES AND ROUNDED ON FRONT AND REAR. TRY LENGTHENING THE END AND I BELIEVE THE BOTTOM IS SQUARED TOO. GOOD LUCK.

Do you have any thoughts as to how long you can extend the shifter tip before it causes trouble ? I have the same problem with a WD45 shifter slipping out of the fork assembly. I wonder if I built it up 1/2 inch if that would be too long?
