Roger..... I have also noticed this tractor "pictured" being a diesel ,it is rather obvious.I can agree with your concern also.

Well, you sure got things fixed quick. The caption confirms that the picture is a diesel, and the story under calls the engine a 4x4.25 Good work and way to stay on your toes.

Interesting fact that the engine is a 4x4. Quote from a tractor calender showing a '38 WC for June 2000. ""The WC was the first in the tractor industry to use the so-called "square" engine - an engine having the same bore and stroke.""

The WC was the first to use a square engine, with the 4" bore and stroke. The WD used the same engine, but the WD 45 used a 4.5" stroke on the same 4" bore, for the 226 CI vs. the 201 of the WC/WD.
