Mistakes in WD-45 profile

I don't know if anyone else has noticed or commented on the glaring errors in the profile of the WD-45 that is listed at the bottom of every response page. First it states, just above the tractor picture WD-45 (GAS), but that sure looks like a diesel to me. The short space in front of the radiator as well as the extra filters on the side of the engine, leads me to beleive this is a diesel.

The second error is the statement that the WD-45 has a lot more horse power than the WD due to a larger "bore" and stroke. The WD-45's that I have owned and operated did have a longer stroke, 4 1/2" compared to the 4" stroke of the WD, but the bore of 4" was the same on both tractors. Also according to all the technical books that I own this is correct. This may not seem to important to some but a lot of people depend on this info for their education on old tractors. I don't know who wrote this but I do like to see things correct when so many people are looking.

Thanks for the fix on the WD-45 profile. Hopefuly people won't get confussed or get incorrect info. It is easy to make typo or whatever, just as long as we fix them.

Thanks asgain!

You're welcome, and thanks for pointing it out. We do want to be as accurate as possible... unfortunately I'm only human and try to do too much at a time I guess.

Well, you sure got things fixed quick. The caption confirms that the picture is a diesel, and the story under calls the engine a 4x4.25 Good work and way to stay on your toes.

Interesting fact that the engine is a 4x4. Quote from a tractor calender showing a '38 WC for June 2000. ""The WC was the first in the tractor industry to use the so-called "square" engine - an engine having the same bore and stroke.""

The WC was the first to use a square engine, with the 4" bore and stroke. The WD used the same engine, but the WD 45 used a 4.5" stroke on the same 4" bore, for the 226 CI vs. the 201 of the WC/WD.
