When I worked on my grandfathers farm in western moutains of Maine in my teens, the sun was never that strong and we did not need hats. After that when playing ball, played for 20 years after high school. I always wore a baseball cap, but I liked cowboy hats, they where hard to find in MA. Looked at them for years there was never a large selection all pretty much generic you know one size fits all. Then about 5-6 years ago, things changed I bought a '57 Case 310, found this site found a place in MA with a Great Selection of cowboy hats. Bought an excellent straw hat which I wear nearly all the hours I an off from work except in the extreme cold the its a hunting cap with flaps. Other then these two it's Harley leather ball cap or the Red Sox World Champion hat, and of course of the three Patriots Super Bowl hats. Sorry for the long post butyou did ask. Chuck
