Afternoon fellers,
Grandpap and I began pulling valves from the waukesha engine today and 2 of them will for sure need replaced, possibly 4 total (i'll include a picture). We're now open to the option of finding a donor engine, but we're also considering buying blank valves and sending them away to get spun out to fit our dimensions. Does anybody know where i could purchas valves that are 7.5" long, have a stem of .433" and a head of 2.14"? Once I find those, we'll need to locate a reliable precision machine shop in the North east US. Or if anyone knows of any junkyards that would have an old waukesha model N (I know these units were also used in trucks and probably other types of equipment.) There is also a chance we will need valve guides, springs, etc, but so far everything else is intact.
If anyone can put me in contact with "plant doc" on here, I know he mentioned that hes worked on waukeshas before, and maybe he would have a contact for a junkyard?

In the rural area he grew up in, the highlight of the week was Saturday when many people took a break from their work to go to town. It was on one such Saturday in the early 1940's when Sam was 16 years old that he ended up in Dennison, Kansas to watch a demonstration of a new tractor being put on by a local dealer.
