there is a direct bolt on hitch which will replace that pintle, it has the same bolt pattern and will accept all popular 2 inch reciever ball mounts, its around 60 bucks, and most good auto parts stores stock them, or can get them overnite, that way you have the option to return the pintle hitch to use by simply taking 4 bolts loose if you rever need it that was probably used to pull a pretty good tag along trailer, and it should be enough for any reasonable trailer you would want behind a 1 ton truck
