Hi I have a 99 f250 got 528000 kms on it when I brought it It would near flatten 2 new batteries starting on a warm day. Guy I had it from put about 300.000 on it, and did nothing only topped oil when low, Going by the fact you could stand a 6" nail upright in the middle of 2 quarts of oil i got in a can from it!. I Found the powerstrokehelp.com vids on you tube. Bill said the oil in the Hpop reservior and heads needs sucking out and changing, following his sequence I did that. The truck turns over and fires right up after about 6 turns now even sitting for a couple of days. It runs like new. Most ford techs don't know about this. They say the oil changes itself when the motor runs but it doesn't you get stale oil in the reservoir and heads . When I did this I ended up using about 18 liters of oil not the 14 ford say. But a few extra liters of oil is a lot cheaper than a starter and new injectors I thought I needed. So if they haven't done this it might be worth looking up and trying to It surprised me.
